Raymond A. Celie, 92, passed away on Thursday January 6, 2021, at Creekside Village Mishawaka. Ray was born on January 10, 1929, in Mishawaka as the only son of Maynard and Marie (DePaepe) Celie. On March 24, 1967, Ray married Kathlene Barnes who preceded him in death on October 3, 2001. Ray is survived by his children, Ray (Renee) Celie, Michael Celie, Patti Meek, Jeff (Mechelle) Celie and Michelle Trail; grandchildren, Heather (Marty) Davis, Andrew (Deanna) Celie, Amanda Celie, Alexander Celie, Amber Celie, Braxton Trail, Bailey Trail and Matt Meek; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Ray worked at Wheelabrator-Frye for 37 years before his retirement. The family will receive friends 10 am-1 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka with a funeral service at 1 pm. Private family burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Ray’s memory to the BK Club, 721 S. West Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
