SOUTH BEND - Dolores Christine Zentz passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14th in Peoria, AZ. She was the daughter of George and Thekla Kolaskey born on April 13, 1930 in South Bend, IN. In 1950, Dolores married the love of her life, John Wedsworth, Jr. and they had one son, Dennis. She was widowed at a young age, but found happiness again and married Earl Zentz who also preceded her in death. Dolores is survived by her son, Dennis Wedsworth, his wife Michelle, two granddaughters, Allison and Bethany, her sister, Barbara Lewis and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and two brothers, George and Darryle Kolaskey. Dolores was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran and later Christ the King Lutheran Churches in South Bend, IN. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, the South Bend Symphony, Notre Dame football, and her wonderful cooking abilities. She also enjoyed traveling and just simply spending time with family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26th in Christ the King Lutheran Church, 17195 Cleveland Rd. with Rev. Caroline Satre and Rev. Loren Van Oort officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the West (www.hospicewestaz.com), an organization that lovingly cared for Dolores.
