WINAMAC - John W. Schwemin, 86, Winamac, IN, passed away at 8:40 PM Monday, August 31, 2015, in Winamac, IN. He was born June 1, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to John and Agnes Biskupski Schwemin. He was married to Joanne Anderson on September 5, 1952, in Chicago. She passed away September 5, 1994. He then married Phoebe Myers on June 20, 1995, in Plymouth, IN. She survives. John was a retired business agent for the Carpenters Union. Also surviving are two daughters, Kathleen A. (Gary) Wenning, Elkhart, and Donna M. Pugh, Winamac; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM EDT Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, IN. Visitation will be from 9 - 10:30 AM EDT Friday, September 4, 2015, at Frain Mortuary. Military graveside services will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice, Rochester, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary, Winamac, IN.
