MISHAWAKA - Irvin Eugene Rutkowski, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Irvin was born on April 24, 1921, in Mishawaka, to Adam and Martha (Andrzejewski) Rutkowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Robert Ruskowski. On May 11, 1946, in St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka, he married the former Genevieve "Jenny" Andrezejewski, who preceded him in death on October 2, 1997. Surviving are two sisters, Eldean "Blondie" De Meulenaere of Milwaukee, WI, and Margaret Bock of Naples, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Irvin was an Inspector at Drewrys for 30 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and the DiAmici's Club. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
