Heart Attack Is Fatal to Fenimore

A heart attack was believed by authorities to have caused the death of a South Bend man who collapsed this morning at the home of a friend. Mrs. Hazel Eugling, 38, of 1318 Lincoln Way W., called police about 6:50 a.m. and said that William B. Fenimore, 45, of 606 W. Colfax Ave., had collapsed and died in her apartment. Mrs. Eugling said Fenimore apparently had no health problem before his seizure this morning. Dr. Harry Ludwick, St. Joseph County deputy coroner, was called. He said Fenimore apparently suffered a heart attack. City firemen administered oxygen for 30 minutes before the arrival of the doctor who pronounced Fenimore dead. Born in South Bend. Mr. Fenimore was born in South Bend on March 24, 1915, and married Florence Williams here. He was a bartender at the City Bar-B-Cues restaurant at 114 S. Main St. Surviving are his father, Frank of South Bend, two sons, William Jr. of South Bend, and James of Mishawaka; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Nyergen of South Bend, and Miss Patricia Fenimore of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Ted and Stanley, both of South Bend, and four sisters, Mrs. Helen Ballard of South Bend, Mrs. Dessie Boyer of Mishawaka, Mrs. Mary King of Houston, and Mrs. Grace Heflin of San Jose.
