SOUTH BEND - Michael T. Dombrowski, 65, passed away at 11:36 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, in Hospice House. Michael was born on November 10, 1943, in South Bend, to Harry and Lorraine (Peak) Dombrowski. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Moore, and by a sister, Marlene Schroff. On August 30, 1976, in South Bend, Michael married Christine (Andrzejewski). She survives along with daughters, Lauri (Troy) Weber of Stevensville, MI, and Kelsey Dombrowski of South Bend; sons, Michael (Angel) Dombrowski Jr. of Buchanan, MI, and Cory (Jessica Maitland) Dombrowski of South Bend; grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua and Adisyn; and brothers, Larry Dombrowski and Paul Ashley, both of South Bend. Michael worked security at the University of Notre Dame for 23 years before retiring in 2008. He served in the United States Marines and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 284. He was also involved with Council Oak Lodge 745, F.&A.M. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Visitation will also be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the Mass on Thursday morning.
