SOUTH BEND - Rose “Rosebud” B. Bella born December 28, 1922 to Mary and Frank Barone, formerly of Clinton, IN. She lived the last 70 years in Mishawaka and South Bend. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Filchak, brother Louis Barone and former husband Thomas Bella. Surviving are her son Jerry G. (Pam) Bella of Mishawaka, grandson, Shawn Bella, granddaughter, Shannon Bella, great grandchildren, Sophia and Hudson Bella and Keller Green. Her cousin, Edith Mamak, sister-in-law, Jean Barone.Rose retired from Bendix/Allied Signal in 1991 and went to work at Erica's Sewing Center. She loved to travel to Hawaii, Alaska, California and all over the U.S. She belonged to Bendix Retiree Club, Bendix Girls Club, Doll Club and Garden Club. As a member of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, she was involved with the “Peanut Butter Gang”, Attic Treasures and greeting at church. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016, from 4:30pm until 6:30 pm with the service at 6:30 pm with Pastor Patrick Somers officiating at the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood, South Bend. Burial of remains will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Porter Rea Cemetery in Potato Creek State Park. In lieu of flowers the family requested for memorial contributions to be made to Evangel Heights United Methodist Church or to Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 E. Day Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46545. Bubb Funeral Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on May 14, 2016
