GRAND RAPIDS - Shirley Ann McCallister, 75, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at her home. Shirley was born September 23, 1939 in South Bend to the late Chester and Marie (Trzop) Nawrocki. On August 30, 1958, Shirley married John McCallister; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1996. Survivors of Shirley include her children, Vikki McCallister of Grand Rapids, MI, Linda (Donald) Butler of South Bend, Carol McCallister of Mishawaka, Debbie (Todd) Dake of New Carlisle, and John (Deb) McCallister of South Bend; brother, Robert (Marsha) Nawrocki of Lakeville, ten grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Shirley retired May 30, 2008 from Towne Air Freight after 24 years as an Operation Agent. She was an avid Notre Dame fan. Shirley enjoyed playing the Double Diamond Deluxe slots at the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family even if it was through Facebook. Visitation for Shirley will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
