Roberta Marie "Bert" Rutkowski
July 28, 1946 - June 18, 2012 OSCEOLA - Roberta Marie "Bert" Rutkowski, 65, of Osceola, passed away at her home on Monday, June 18, 2012. Bert was born July 28, 1946, to the late Chester M. and Dortheanna (Putzy) Herriman. Bert was a graduate of Penn High School, and on February 24, 1968, she married David Rutkowski at St. Bavo's Church in Mishawaka, Indiana. Dave survives along with their children, Annie (David) Buck of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dereck Rutkowski of Glendale, Arizona. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Amanda and Hunter Buck, and Jacob Rutkowski. There will be no visitation or services at this time. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Bert was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Glendale Roofing and the Gilbert School District in Arizona before moving back to the area in 2005. She enjoyed reading, and loved her pets dearly. The Rutkowski family would like to give special thanks to the Oncology Unit at Elkhart General Hospital for their care and concern for Bert during her time of need.
