Zygmund R. (Ziggy) Burzynski, 66, of 1525 W Dunham, died at 2:07pm Friday in St Josephs Hospital after a brief illness. Burzynski was a retired St Casimir Catholic Church custodian. Born on November 14, 1913, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Catherine Burzynski, of South Bend; five sisters, Mrs. Gladys Dabros, Mrs. Helen Skowronski, Mrs. Irene Ganus, Mrs. Martha Skodinski and Mrs. Ruth Sparazynski, all of South Bend; and a brother Ernie of South Bend. Services will be at 10am Tuesday in the St Casimir Church. Rev. Howard A. Kuhns, CSC, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call form 5 to 9pm Sunday and 2 to 9pm Monday in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where a combined wake service will be conducted at 7:30pm Monday by the parish and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. Burzynski was a WW II Army veteran; a member of the Polish American Social an Civic Club and the St Josephs Young Mens Society.
