SOUTH BEND - Lucille “Lucy” E. Strzelecki, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in Memorial Hospital. Lucy was born September 29, 1930 in South Bend, to the late George and Stella (Wroblewski) Bladeski. On October 11, 1952 in St. Casimir Catholic Church, Lucille married Frank Strzelecki; he preceded her in death on March 5, 1995. Survivors of Lucy include her children, Daniel (Judy) Strzelecki of Stevensville, MI, Jane Strzelecki of South Bend, and Robert (Deborah) Strzelecki of New Carlisle; grandchildren, Kathy (David) Fanjoy of Dayton, OH, Karen (Ben) Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI, Ken (Maureen) Strzelecki of Wauwatosa, WI, and Kristine (Jason) Pennington of Miamisburg, OH; and great- grandchildren, Charlotte, Kiera, Natalie, Ava, Trevor, Olivia, Lucie, and Hunter. Lucy graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1949. She retired from Raco Corporation in 1995 after 40+ years. Lucy was also a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church and was a member of Senior Citizens Club and PNA. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, going out for drives, and eating out at restaurants. Most of all, Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during holidays. Visitation for Lucy will be held 2:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, July 1, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday, July 2, 2018 in St. Casimir Catholic Church, where the service will begin at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
