[N26662] Richard "Dick" A. Dentino
November 3, 1943 ~ December 11, 2020 (age 77)

Mishawaka, IN-Richard “Dick” Angelo Dentino passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born November 3, 1943, to Angelo and Lydia Dentino in Mishawaka, IN where he grew up and graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1961. During his high school years, he played on the tennis team and belonged to Junior Achievement. After high school, he attended Ball State University where he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity and received a Bachelor of Science in education. After graduation, he spent 2 years in the United States Army. On June 15, 1968, he married Mary Ann Conner, they spent all their years living in South Bend, IN. He attended First Presbyterian Church Mishawaka for 48 years where he served as a deacon and trustee. During his working years, Dick was in the accounting department of 1st National Bank of Southwest Michigan, then retired from 1st Source Bank in 2011. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife of 52 and a half years, Mary Ann Dentino; daughters, Angela Bellinger and Jennifer (Casey) Micinski; granddaughters Giavonna and Caroline; grand dogs Maggie and Chico; brother in law, Mike Zulich; niece, Amy (Chris) Black; nephew, David Zulich; great-nephews, Ben and Eli, plus many more family and friends. Angels who met him at the gate: his parents, Angelo and Lydia Dentino; sisters, Olga Zulich and Gloria Dentino; daughter, Kristy Delee; son in law, Greg Bellinger, John Bellinger (Grandpa B), as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family will remember him with a fishing pole in one hand, a book in the other, and a canoe on top of his car. Everyone will remember the fun stories he wrote about our family trips. His daughters will remember him as their biggest fan. He never missed a cross country or swim meet, concert, or any other activity they were involved in. He was quick to offer a life lesson and a diet soda with a straw, then send you home with a bag of fruit (just like his dad used to do). His granddaughter, Caroline, will remember him as “Happa” who gave her rides on his electric recliner and played hide and seek with the bunny. Giavonna will remember him teaching her to fish and taking her to Home Depot every month for the past 4 and a half years for the Build activity. His church will remember him for his bread baking and washing dishes after church events. His wife will remember his gentle voice and manner, his thoughtfulness of bringing a surprise bouquet of flowers or a box of raspberries, and how much he cared by always keeping her gas tank full and her windows scraped and snow shoveled when she went out to her car. Most of all, she will remember him as her best friend. At this time, there will be a private service and at a later date, we will have a public memorial service to celebrate his life. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Gifts can be given in his memory to First Presbyterian Church of Mishawaka PO Box 744 Mishawaka, IN 46546-0744.
