SOUTH BEND - Ronald Walter Deka, 62, of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by many loved ones, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 8:52 p.m. He was born May 25, 1950 to Richard Walter and Mildred Irene (Duff) Deka, who preceded him in death. His sister, Linda Sue Deka, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Richard Deka; nieces, Linda Darlene Deka and Samantha Anne (Deka) Thalman; nephews, Jason Frances Deka and Brandon Eugene Deka; son, Nathan Caras; granddaughters, Arieanne and Olivia; great nieces, Mary Katherine Deka, Teresa Rose Deka and Scarlet Anne Thalman; great nephew, Samson George Thalman; and one great great nephew, Preston Matthew Deka. His family and friends will miss his love for his Fighting Irish, his strong sense of loyalty and his incredibly witty sense of humor. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.
