LAPORTE - Robert P. Koselke, 80, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Hospice Franciscan Communities, Michigan City. He was born June 30, 1936, in La Porte, to Raymond B. and Christine P. (Grott) Koselke. Robert retired from the Indiana State Prison, Michigan City, after thirteen years of service. He honorably served in the United States Army. Robert was a mechanic and enjoyed working on anything with wheels. Robert will be dearly missed.On July 2, 1960, in La Porte, he married Barbara (Kruchten) Koselke, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Michael (Cassandra) Koselke of Rolling Prairie, Christine (Phillip) Sayles of Pasadena, MD, and Andrew (Jennifer Wiebke) Koselke of North Manchester, IN; one sister, Carol Dodge of NH; and five grandchildren, Ellyn, Jared and Jacob, Aaron and Victoria. Preceding in death were his parents; one brother, Eugene Koselke; and two sisters, Margaret Hartwick and Jeanette Olson.Cremation will take place.
