John F. Hoffman, 87, of 506 S. Dundee St., died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Hoffman retired from Bendix Corp. He was born July 27, 1903, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Sept. 29, 1931, in South Bend, he married Bernice Tomaszewski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Christine Keres of Los Angeles; three sons, James, Jerome and Thomas, all of South Bend; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Wesoloski of South Bend. He was the oldest member of St. Joseph Young Men's Society and a member of Harvest House of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. [Information submitted by Find a Grave contributor Paul #48889809]
