SOUTH BEND - Patsy A. Laskowski, 76, residing in South Bend, passed away at 7:44 am Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in her home. She was born February 16, 1939 in South Bend to the late Dutch and Ruby (Althouse) Pierce and remained a lifelong area resident. On April 9, 1959, Patsy married Joseph T. Laskowski, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Julie (Jeff) Anderson of South Bend; sons, Richard (Jennifer) Laskowski of Brazil, IN, Ronald (Suebeth) Laskowski of South Bend, Joe (Becky) Laskowski of Granger and Greg (Tammy) Laskowski of Osceola; sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by sisters, Nancy Vida of South Bend and Carolyn (Ron) Perris of Tampa Bay, FL; and brothers, Leo (Yvonne) Pierce of North Liberty, Claude (Evelyn) Pierce of South Bend and John Pierce of Alabama; as well as several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Patsy graduated from New Carlisle High School. She worked as a bus aide for the South Bend School Corporation, retiring in 2009. She was co-owner and operator with her husband of Pizza King in Roseland. Patsy also was a hairstylist for 40+ years and enjoyed baking and cooking for her family during the holidays as well as spending time with her family and grandchildren. Funeral services for Patsy will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Patsy's son, Pastor Richard Laskowski, will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 6:00 pm Monday in the funeral home prior to services. Memorial contributions may be donated to Heartland Hospice, 230 W.
