SOUTH BEND - Frances Helen Nemeth-Kuzmitz, 93, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, in St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend. She was born on December 30, 1920, in Knox, IN, to the late Garland and Burnis (Yelton) Kesler. On June 19, 1943 she married Louis A. Nemeth, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1973. On June 21, 1980, she married Frank V. Kuzmitz, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1987. Frances is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann Nemeth of South Bend; a sister, Donna Cramer of South Bend; and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kuzmitz worked as a secretary for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis and Indiana Society for Crippled Children. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Design Service. Frances was a Parishioner of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, a member of the Circle of Mercy, Christ Child Society and Corvilla. She played in a golf league at Elbel Golf Course. Funeral services for Frances will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
