SOUTH BEND - Mary C. Lee, 77, of 53790 Quince Road, died at 4:10 a.m. Thursday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Mrs. Lee retired in 1978 from Easy Heat Inc., New Carlisle. She was born Aug. 6, 1917, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On April 26, 1941, in South Bend, as Mary C. Gabrysiak, she married Gerald F. Lee. He died May 4, 1981. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara King of New Carlisle, Suzanna Lee and Linda Crimson, both of South Bend, and Mary Hartman of Sawyer; a son, Richard of New Carlisle; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Stella Cordes and Josephine Gabrysiak, both of South Bend. She was a member of New Carlisle War Mothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
