Larry Allan Nagy of Granger passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Easter Sunday morning, April 9, 2023. Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Melvine A. Nagy. He was the son of Jean and Steve Nagy and resided in the South Bend area all of his life. Larry loved his family and was dedicated to being the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he could be. He was the owner of Marycrest Amoco on the corner of Western and Olive in South Bend for 35 years. He led by example and was a positive influence on the many people that worked for and with him over the years. His generosity and kindness were the foundation for success and happiness. Larry never met a stranger, making friends in his day to day life, while enjoying fishing, playing Euchre and traveling. He lived life to the fullest and never slowed down. His smile was contagious and he spread his love of life and uplifting spirit to everyone he met. He is survived by his children: Larry (Norene) Nagy, Jr. of South Bend, Margaret (Mike) Evans of Edwardsburg, and Chad (Michele) Nagy of Granger; six grandchildren: Ellen (Roberto) Olivo, Matthew Nagy, Michael Evans, Mitchael Evans, Megan Evans, and Merick Evans; two great-grandsons: Roberto and Liam Olivo.
