NORTH LIBERTY - Gilbert “Gil” Claudio, age 86, passed away on Nov. 27, 2016, in Madison, Ohio. He was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Rosa (Quinones) and Otilio Claudio. He married Lucy Mae Clark on Dec. 9, 1951, in North Liberty, IN. Gil, a 1951 graduate of Manchester College, was a Research Chemist for Ricerca for 34 years. He was a missionary, a Bible scholar, a gardener, a photographer, a wonderful father, and a beloved husband of 64 years to Lucy. Mr. Claudio was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his 5 brothers and his sister. He is survived by his 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who miss him dearly.Family and friends are gathering at noon on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 69531 Pine Rd., No. Liberty, IN. Interment will follow at 1:15 at Fair Cemetery at Oak and Stanton Roads in North Liberty. Published in South Bend Tribune on July 16, 2017
