SOUTH BEND - Bernard J. Pinkowski, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born on May 10, 1915, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Pinkowski is survived by his wife, Hildegarde (Kaniewski); and his two daughters, Helen (Dan) Goller and Elizabeth (Paul) Hosinski, both of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his son, James Pinkowski. Private services will be held later. Kaniewski Funeral Homes, South Bend, is handling the arrangements.
