SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Jeanette Ciesiolka, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Memorial Hospital. Jeanette was born April 26, 1934 in South Bend to the late Eugene and Stella (Galus) Budzinski. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Ciesiolka in 2019, sister-in-law, Jackie Budzinski, and brother-in-law, Eugene Staszewski. Left to cherish the memory of Jeanette is her loving husband of 63 years, Marvin Ciesiolka. They were married in St. Adalbert Catholic Church on July 27, 1957. Jeanette is also survived by her brothers, Eugene Budzinski, Edward (Joan) Budzinski, Ronald Budzinski, and sister, Carol Staszewski; her very special friend, Jan Rhodes; many dear nieces & nephews, sister-in-law, Virginia Young and brother-in-law, Norbert (Sue) Ciesiolka. Jeanette traveled to New York, then to Frankford, Germany, where her husband was stationed in the Army. Her visa allowed her to live on the Air Force base with him for a year, then she returned home awaiting his return six months later. She worked for Indiana Bell in her younger years and in the Notre Dame dining hall for Friday football banquets during Lou Holtz years. Jeanette was a devout wife and a good, loving mother. Her shining personality and beautiful happy smile will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 11:00am-12:00pm on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00pm. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.sjfh.net.
