SUMTER, SC - Kenneth “Kenny” E. Hudak, age 69, beloved husband of Lynn Papczynski Hudak, died on Friday, December 4, 2015 at his residence after a battle with lung cancer. He worked for the Bendix Corporation in South Bend. Kenneth "Kenny" E. Hudak, age 69, beloved husband of Lynn Papczynski Hudak, died on Friday, December 4, 2015 at his residence. Born in South Bend, IN on July 31, 1946 to the late Thaddeos "Ted" Hudak and Sophie Olejniczak Hudak. Kenny was a veteran of the United States Army after serving in Viet Nam. While living in South Bend, IN, Kenny went to work for the Bendix Corporation in 1968 and was a faithful employee until they closed the doors in 1986. Moving to Sumter where he went to work for Bendix - Allied Signal that was later named The Bosch Corporation. He went on to retire in November of 2007 when they closed. Surviving in addition to his wife are: two sons, Brian K. Hudak and his wife Nikki of Lugoff; Scott Hudak of South Bend, IN; one daughter, Jennifer Hudak of South Bend, IN. and one granddaughter Kaley Kubiak of South Bend, IN. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Irvin Hudak, Leonard Hudak, Robert Hudak and Paul Hudak. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am -1:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
