Raymond D. Leighty
Raymond D. Leighty, 73, of 19791 Kern, died at 11 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack in his home. He was retired from Uniroyal where he had worked for 47 years. He was born on March 26, 1904, in Burr Oak and lived here most of his life. On July 23, 1934, in South Bend, he married Harriett Jerzawski. She survives along with four daughters, Mrs. Lois Stinnett, Mrs. Judy Molnar and Mrs. Nancy Panis, all of South Bend, and Miss Susan Leighty of Ann Arbor; two sons, James E. of Rochester, N.Y., and William D. of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Feltes and Mrs. Evelyn Sester, both of South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel. Mr. Leighty was a member of the South Bend Eagles Lodge for 37 years.

LEIGHTY - Services for Raymond Dale Leighty, 73, of 19791 Kern, who died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church, with Rev. Edward Narcowicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where members of the Eagles Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. today, and a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
