SOUTH BEND - Stella G. Dobrzykowski, 92, passed away, Monday, May 2, 2016 in her home. Stella was born April 5, 1924 in South Bend to the late Jacob and Margaret (Pawlak) Bladecki. On May 29, 1946, Stella married Joseph Dobrzykowski in St. Casimir Catholic Church and he passed away on October 23, 1994. Stella was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Bardo, Louise Kalman, and Florence Witzel; and step- brothers Philip Bardo and Barney Bladecki. Survivors include son, David (Connie) Dobrzykowski of Granger, IN and daughter, Diane (Dennis) Lyons of Plymouth, IN; granddaughters, Jennifer Linarello of South Bend, IN, Amy (Nakshab) Nadeem of Oak Park, IL, Meredith (Steven) Seifer of Edwardsburg, MI, and Gina Lyons of Plymouth, IN; grandsons, Stephen (Jennifer) Dobrzykowski of Los Gatos, CA, and Joseph Lyons of Plymouth, IN and 10 great-grandchildren. Stella was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, working in the yard and going for rides in the car. Stella loved Notre Dame especially Notre Dame football and vacationing in Southwest Michigan. Visitation is 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, May 9, 2016 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 1 pm on Monday, May 9, 2016 in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3526 Saint Johns Way, South Bend, IN 46628. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
