SOUTH BEND - Anna M. Zmyslo, 93, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 in her son's residence. Anna was born January 16, 1920 in South Bend to the late Stephen and Theresa (Sabo) Horvath. On June 3, 1944 Anna married Theodore Zmyslo who preceded her in death. Anna was the last surviving child of Stephen and Theresa Horvath. Survivors include sons, Thomas (Diane) Zmyslo Sr. of South Bend, and Terry Zmyslo and his partner William Dobbs Sr. of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; grandchildren, Dennis (Christine) Zmyslo of South Bend, Thomas (Jennifer) Zmyslo Jr. of Noblesville, Tammy (Shaun) Boyer of Granger, and Tara (Andrew) Zmyslo-Benedict of Houston, TX; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Boyer, Zachary Zmyslo, Kevin Zmyslo, Jonathon Zmyslo, Kathleen Zmyslo, Colin Zmyslo, Marin Zmyslo, Mallory Zmyslo, Jackson Benedict, and Mia Benedict. Anna was a homemaker and retired from the A&W Root Beer restaurant after 25 years of service. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Catholic Church until closing, and now a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was a longtime member of St. Adalbert Harvest House. She enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. She will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and a song in her heart. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hospice home care staff, and her caregivers Marianna Nowak, Bogdan Gudymyak and Cliff and Janet Boyer. Visitation for Anna will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, September 9, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545, or the Center of Hospice and Palliative Care, 222 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46628, or Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Dr., South Bend, IN 46628.
