SOUTH BEND - Hilda M. Grzegorek, 80, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Memorial Hospital. Hilda was born June 17, 1933, in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Clara (Kuberski) Spychalski. Hilda was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth McKrill, and Viola Lehman. Survivors of Hilda include her children, John (Kandy) Grzegorek, Joe (Rita) Grzegorek, Jerry (Val) Grzegorek, Jim Grzegorek, Judy (Kenny) Drew, Jack (JoAnn) Grzegorek and Jeff (Sylvia) Grzegorek; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Hilda worked at Bishop's Buffet at the former Scottsdale Mall. Hilda was also a former foster grandmother through Real Services. She loved to go to the Blue Chip Casino, playing Bingo no matter where. She had a love for country music, polka music, and watching wrestling. Visitation for Hilda will be on Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
