SOUTH BEND - Kathleen L. Olmstead, 59, passed away at 9:07 pm Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, in the Hospice House. Kathy was born June 10, 1955, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Rose (Ferger) Jurgonski. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Olmstead. On June 18, 1988, Kathy married Russell Olmstead Sr., who survives along with sons, Russell (Melissa) Olm-stead Jr. and Ryan (Dawn) Olmstead; grandson, Brady; grand-daughters, Lily, Makayla and Abby; sister-in-law, Leslie (Doug) Strychalski, and brother-in-law, David (Chrissy) Olmstead. Kathy was employed at Walgreen's. She enjoyed crafts, reading, her dogs and going to breakfast with family and friends but, most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Visitation is 2-8 pm Monday, November 10, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. Funeral Service is 10 am Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or American Cancer Society
