SOUTH BEND - Thomas M. Aranowski, 65, passed away at 10:08 pm May 27, 2012, in Memorial Hospital. Thomas was born on October 29, 1946, in Washington, D.C., to Richard A. and Ann (Szucs) Aranowski. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Aranowski. Thomas is survived by his mother, Ann (Szucs) Aranowski of South Bend; a sister, Janice McClain of Mishawaka; son, Jon (Lynda) Aranowski of South Bend; daughter, Michelle Aranowski of Mishawaka; two grandsons, Ryan and Zachary Aranowski; and two nephews, Bill and Steve McClain. Thomas served his country in the United States Army. He was a South Bend firefighter for 34 years and retired in 2006. Thomas loved to sing Karaoke; he was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and Bears. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Visitation will be 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, June 1, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will begin at 12:30 pm.
