SOUTH BEND, IN - Clara J. Egyhazi, 92, passed away at 4:25am Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Tanglewood Trace. Clara was born on April 14, 1926 in South Bend to Theophiel and Germaine (Naessens) DeLodder. On June 1, 1946 she married Stephen M. Egyhazi. He died on July 27, 1993. Surviving are 3 daughters, Nancy (James) Krzyzewski of Mishawaka, Janet Egyhazi of South Bend, and Clare Branson of Plainfield, IL; 4 sons, Michael (Antoinette) Egyhazi of South Bend, Thomas Egyhazi of Long Key, FL, Steven (Anne) Egyhazi of Bloomington, IN, and Andrew (Taryn) Egyhazi of Mishawaka, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Clara was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hungary Church and was very active in the St. Anne Society and the school's PTA. She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed gardening, reading, and all the days at “the lake.” A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 10:00am until services in the church. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
