Edward J. Tobolski

Edward J. Tobolski, 60, of 1307 Dunham Street, died at 9:45am Sunday in St Josephs Hospital after a two month illness. He was born on March 23, 1901, in South Bend and on September 20, 1926, married Sophie Wcisel in St. Casimirs Catholic Church. Mr. Tobolski was a die maker at the Bendix Corp. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Jerome and Ronald; a daughter, Mrs. Christine Gerschoffer, all of South Bend, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Woltman and Mrs. Alice King, and two brothers, Joseph and Ollie, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 9am Wednesday in St Casimirs Church with Rev. Bernard N. Niemier, CSC pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Tobolski was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Married Mens Club, the Bendix Old Timers Club, the Kosciuszko Club, the Jolly Boys Club, the Triple L. Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The rosary will be recited by member of the Holy Name Society and Married Mens Club at 9pm Tuesday in the funeral chapel.
