Francesco "Frank" was born to Antonio and Anna Ielapi Frucci in Nito, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. He had seven siblings. His Father - Antonio - had come to America, Niles, Michigan in 1910 - along with Dominic Frucci and a Son-in-Law also named Frank Frucci (Married to Maria Frucci). While at work on the New York Central RR Tracks - he was run over by an engine that he did not hear. His legs were severed - He died later that day of shock and loss of blood. Son Francesco was summoned to make burial arrangements. He returned to Italy - started a family - served in WW I - was gassed and spent a year in the hospital. Liking the city - He returned to Niles - later sending for Catherina and children - Anna and Antonio "Tony". There would be two more children born to them - Barbara Marie and Carmella. Frank become an American Citizen April 19, 1919. He was employed at French Paper Mill, worked on the paving of streets in Niles & then was employed at the Michigan Central RR till his retirement in 1959. Caterina passed away November 5, 1975 at the age of 70 1/2 - Frank passed November 11, 1984 at 90yrs 1mo. They are interred in the Frucci plot next to his Father - Antonio Frucci.
