Loretta B. Mariottini, 87, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Jan. 13, 1918, in Sandwich, Ill., to Fred and Laura Rickert. On June 14, 1947, she married Armando Mariottini. Together they shared over 57 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Armando Mariottini of South Bend; her daughter, Suzanne Dias of Old Bridge, N.J.; and two sons, James Mariottini of Mishawaka and Daniel Mariottini of Washington, D.C. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Loretta B. Mariottini to the American Cancer Society; or to the Alzheimer's Association.
