The 1900 federal census record of South Bend, Indiana, indicates that Wojciech (aka Adalbert or George) and his wife Frances were born in Poland, had been married 32 years, and with several of their children, had immigrated in 1890. Frances had had twelve children of whom five were living. The four children in their 1900 household were (in birth order): Peter, Martin, Wladislawa, and John.
