Phyllis Poznanski
Mrs. Walter Poznanski, 60, of 809 S. Walnut St., died at 7:50 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Hospital after an illness of six weeks. She was a former employee of the Studebaker Corp. Born Aug. 16, 1909 in South Bend, she had lived here all her life. On Sept. 25, 1957, in Angola, Ind., she was married to Walter M. Poznanski, who survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lottie Witucki of South Bend; a son, Cass Witucki of Temple Hills, Md.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest and Frank A. Witucki, both of South Bend; and three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Rems of South Bend, Mrs. Sue Pomeroy of Danbury, Wis., and Mrs. Loretta Young of Chicago. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir's Catholic Church by Rev. George Szymanowski, C.S.C. pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Posnanski was a member of the Ladies Civic Club of the church.
