Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Ted Leo Rudynski, 64, of Kingsford Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Ted was born in South Bend, IN, on February 25, 1954 to Bert Leo and Clara (Ulrich) Rudynski. On July 12, 1980 in North Liberty, IN, he married Diana Vail who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Rebecca (David) Janssen of North Liberty, Kari (Dennis) Humes of La Porte, and Tim (Michelle) Rudynski of Kingsford Heights; 8 grandchildren, Tabatha, Codey, Erica, Destiney, Dawson, Jade, Cameron and Bentley; 5 great-grandchildren, Cressyn, Thaya, Zedhyn, Maveric, and Ella; siblings, Stephen Rudynski, Marty (Dan) Bridgewater, Jeanne (Patton) Philotoff, and David (Rosie) Rudynski; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughters, Khloe and Alisyn. Ted retired after 40 years at Hydro Aluminum. He was a member of Kingsford Union and Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a firefighter and first responder for 15 years. Ted enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, hockey, and baseball. He especially enjoyed sitting outside with Sammi Jo, his beloved dog. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm (CT) on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will follow the service. A time of visitation will be held from 4 pm (CT) until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
