ELKHART - Verne W. Rahn, 80, of Englewood, FL, passed away Thursday, June 25. Born October 12, 1928, in Elkhart, to Constance (Eldridge) and Verne Rahn. Worked for Hostess Cake for 34 years. Verne is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan; daughters, Dorothy New, Cathy (Ben) Endres; sons, Mike (Sharon), Verne (Beth), David (Karen) and Patrick (Patricia); 30 grandchildren, 23 great- and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Prairie St. Cemetery, Elkhart.
