Andrew Janczycki, 81, who formerly lived at 827 E. 10th St., died at 2:55 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital following a years' illness. He was born in Trziana, Kzezew (sic), Poland, and moved here from Kansas in 1923. He was employed at the Ball Band plant for 23 years before retiring in 1946. He married Anna Jawerska (sic) in Poland in 1905. She died Aug. 5, 1941.He is survived by two sons, John J. of Detroit, Mich., and George C., of South bend; six daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Miller , of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Dimitrios Petrou, Mrs. Charles Meersman and Mrs. Everett Mangus, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Charles De Broka and Mrs. Levi Eastman, both of Mishawaka; 26 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bubb Chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Very Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Janczycki was a member of St. Joseph's church, The Polish National Alliance, and the Kosciuszko Club. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb chapel. [Transcribed by K. M. Gillen, Indiana University, 2017].
