Anna was born to Francesco "Frank" and Catherine Mazzotta Frucci in Filadelfia, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy on the 24th of May, 1925. Her siblings were Barbara (John F. Chmiel)Frucci, Antonio "Tony" (Polly) Fruci and Carmella (Daniel Konkey) Frucci. Anna and her brother Tony were born in Italy - Their father - Frank - immigrated to Niles, MI in 1927 - where other family members were living. Catherine and the two children followed in May of 1930. Barbara and Carmella were born in Niles, MI. On November 28, 1948 - in Niles - she was wed to Richard Dean Franz. To them were born Robert Dean (Patricia) Franz, Michael R, Diann (Michael Morris) Franz and Debra A (Thomas Blume) Franz. Husband Richard preceded her in death on June 13, 1998. They were members of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg. Anna enjoyed gardening - cooking -and was an accompolished seamstress. She was passionate about church, arts and education - encouraging all her children to obtain a college education. At the time of her death at Eighty One years of age - she had been blessed with six grandchildren. Sadness struck the family Three Days before when the life of her sister, Barbara Frucci Chmiel, was taken after a battle with Breast Cancer.
