I don't have a record of John and Helen's marriage, so this is conjecture:
I believe that John's father was Istvan (Stephen) Nagy. In the 1930 census, it appears that John's parents, Stephen and Mary are living with John and Helen. In the 1920 census, they are living with their daughter, Theresa Feyos, the wife of Andrew Feyos. If I have the right family, they were from Mohol, Hungary, which is now part of Serbia. Stephen and Mary had other children: Mihaly (Michael), and Erzsebet (Elizabeth). Now, I may not have the right family: Mohol is south of modern-day Hungary, and according to the 1940 census, the family was from Czechoslovakia, which is north of Hungary. The only way to be sure is to find John Nagy/Helen Szucs's marriage application.
