Imogene B. Derda, 62, of 23140 Brick Road, died at 12:32pm Sunday in St Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Derda was born October 28, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On August 25, 1951, in South Bend, as Imogene Wozniak, she married Stanley Derda, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Julie Smith of South Bend; a son, Steven of Fort Worth TX; four grandchildren and her mother, Stella Wozniak of South Bend. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary 5570, Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society of the church. Services will be at 10am Thursday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Tuesday and 4 to 9pm Wednesday in St Joseph Funeral Home, where parish rosaries will be said at 7:40pm and 8:30pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the St Joseph County Cancer Society.
