Shirley M. Shamory, age 72, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, February 21, 2011. Shirley was born November 8, 1938 to the late Frederick and Marguerite (Lee) Daly in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was a graduate of the Class of 1956 from Mishawaka High School. On December 22, 1956, she married Roy E. Shamory in South Bend, Indiana.

Roy survives, along with their children Randy E. (Carol) Shamory of South Bend, and Candy M. (Terry) Rich of Mishawaka. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Dustin, Tyler, Spencer and Katie, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard G. Daly and Gerald Daly.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday, February 25, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Pastor Plez Lovelady will officiate the 11:00 am funeral service on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Shirley will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the services.

Shirley was a self employed dog groomer for over 40 years and owned Shirley''s Pet Salon in South Bend for many years and worked at Martin''s Supermarket in Granger, for 10 years. She enjoyed working with pets and loved animals. Shirley had quite a collection of elephants, which she began collecting in the late 1970''s. Shirley enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her husband Roy. She also had a tremendous sense of humor, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In her memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
