KREBSBACH, James B. (Age 87)
James passed away November 27, 2008 in Spokane. He was born in Esmond, ND on April 17, 1921 to Michael and Lucy Krebsbach. He graduated from Esmond High School and attended Minneapolis Business College before joining the Army Signal Corp in 1942. James served for two years as a cryptographer in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations, returning home after World War II ended. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 1953 with a degree in accounting. He worked for the Brajcich and Loeffler accounting firm for 24 years and then was self-employed for several years before retiring. James was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Spokane Dinner Club, the Southside Senior Activity Center golf group and the Spokane Manito Lions Club. In 2006 he was named a Melvin Jones Fellow, which is the highest honor a Lion can receive. James married Claudine Trebby on August 19, 1967. He and Claudine loved to travel and took several European tours and cruises to various places. One of their last and most memorable was a tour to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji in 2002.
