John A. Dials, Sr., age 74, of South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully at Great Lakes Nursing Center, Dyer, Indiana. He was born on February 14, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana and was a lifelong resident of the area. Son of the late James H. and Victoria L. (Kujawski) Dials. Treasured father of Chris Dials and John Dials, Jr. Fun-loving grandfather of Owen and Griffin Dials, and Nolan and Alyssa Dials. Dear brother of Sandra Dials, Carol Ruszkowski, Eleanor Bottom, Theresa Hartstein, and Mike Dials. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dials and Ronald Dials. To many he was a loving and loyal friend. John had a passion for automobiles. He loved to work with cars and make them look their best. He was a big sports fan and loved watching Notre Dame Football, Chicago Bears and the Cubs. He greatly enjoyed spending time at the family lake. John will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, IN following private family services. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services.
