My Aunt Clara Prentkowski (Rosmarynowski) will be 90 next year and lives with one of her daughters on the west side of South Bend. As of this year, she still maintains a booth at the farmer's market in South Bend.

July 21, 1919 - Nov. 4, 2012 SOUTH BEND - Clara M. Rozmarynowski, 93, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Hospice House. Clara was born on July 21, 1919, in South Bend, to Stanley and Frances (Wicker) Prentkowski, and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Robertson's Department Store, where she was employed as a clerk. She had also been a vendor at the South Bend Farmers Market for 30 years, selling homemade crafts. On October 9, 1940, she married Edward Rozmarynowski, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1980. Also preceding her in death were two children, Patricia Reynolds and Eugene Rozmarynowski; one sister, Gladys Sobieski; and one brother, Alex Prentkowski. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Tharp of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren, Randy (Regina) Reynolds, Barry Reynolds, Scott Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, Diana Tharp, Thomas Tharp, Gary (Michelle) Tharp and Christine (George) Mighion; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. today and from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Clara enjoyed reading and crafts. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation.
