Peter S Piechorowski Sr. 87 of 616 Nothh Johnson who was believed he was the oldest living retired South Bend fireman was dead on arrival 12:10 a.m. at St Josephs Hospital of an apparent Heart Attack. He retired in 1964 from the Fire Department after 28 years of service. Born March 23, 1887 in Terre Coupee, Indiana to Joseph and Josephine (Trzebiatowska) Piechorowski he lived his entire life in the South bend area. On September 24, 1912 he married the former Helen Leszcz who survives along with two sons Conrad of South Bend and Virgil at home; a daughter Mrs. (Elizabeth Betty) Al Mackowiak of South Bend and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the church, the Air Technical Service Command, and the St. Joseph County Local Police Committee. He served as a fireman at the Army Air Force supply base from 1941 to 1944. Services will be at St, Stanislaus B & M with burial at St. Josephs Cemetery
