On May 15, 1951, Richard married Louise Ruppert. They had two children:
1) Lynette Marie, born March 19, 1953
2) Richard Carl, Jr., born May 31, 1955

Lynette married Michael Barrs and they had one child, Seth Barrs, born in 1972. Richard married Sheryl... and they had two children, Danielle, born in 1977; and Heather, born in 1978.

Richard, Sr., worked as a Shipping Clerk for 25 years at Libbey-Owens-Ford in Rossford, Ohio, retiring in 1976. He was a Korean War Veteran.

Richard had eight siblings, including a sister, Joyce E. Information on Joyce can be found on her mother's memorial page.
