Mrs. Gladys Kuchowicz, 513 South Carlisle street, died at 11 a.m. Thursday in her residence after a long illness. She was born in Poland June 27, 1889, and came here 45 years ago. As Miss Gladys Fiwek on Oct. 29, 1907, she was married to John Kuchowicz, who survives. Other survivors are five children, Mrs. Beatrice Sopczynski, Jane, Helen, Henry and Clem; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Fenimore, and three brothers, Casimir, Ignatius and Stanley Fiwek, all of South Bend. Friends may call in the residence after 11 a.m. Saturday until funeral sservices at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Adalbert's Catholic church. Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery. She was a member of the Holy Rosary society of the church, the St. John's Evangelist and Polish Roman Catholic union.
