Norbert S. Klekowski Sr., age 90, of Hegewisch passed away peacefully on April 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Norbert was a retired machinist from Lever Brothers Company of Whiting, IN. Norbert was a WWII veteran of the US Army and a Purple Heart recipient. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Elizabeth P. Klekowski (nee Piekarski); loving children, daughters: Leslie (Jim) Crowley, Laura (Bob) McFarland; son, Norbert (Deb) Klekowski Jr.; cherished grandchildren: Sara, Nicole, Meghan, Lisa, dearest great grandchildren: Dillon, Evelyn; loving sister, Lorraine; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved parents: Frank and Stella Klekowski; loving sisters: Charlotte, Dolores, Irene; loving brothers: Stanley, Frank. Funeral Mass at St. Florian Church of Hegewisch, with Rev. Robert Marchwiany officiating. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
